Application for exemption from toll payment due to transportation of humanitarian aid.
Transports using vehicles for performing humanitarian assistance tasks are conducted in accordance with Article 9 of the Road Tolling Act, based on properly completed documents specified by the road toll operator. The documents must be in original form and reference the markings on the vehicle's license plate for which the exemption from toll payment obligations and charges for external costs is being claimed. Based on transport data provided by the toll payer to the toll road operator in the manner determined by the General legal act on toll collection, the road toll operator decides on the eligibility for using the toll road without payment of tolls and charges for external costs, and informs the road toll payer accordingly. The road toll operator must be notified of the arrival of foreign vehicles at least 24 hours before their arrival.

Road toll exemption for Ukrainian residents
E-vignette
Until further notice, residents of Ukraine arriving in or crossing Slovenia due to war and for humanitarian reasons are exempted from paying tolls on Slovenian motorways and expressways. This refers to vehicles with Ukrainian registration numbers up to 3.5 tons of maximum permissible weight, for which the use of an e-vignette would otherwise be mandatory. For additional information, please call: +386 (0)1 518 8 350.
Vehicles exempt from tolls
Within the implementation of the DarsGo system, tolls do not apply for the following vehicles whose maximum permissible weight exceeds 3.5 tonnes:
- priority vehicles, escort vehicles, and vehicles in escort;
- military vehicles of the Slovenian Army;
- foreign military vehicles for the purpose of defending the country, international peace forces, and for other defence and safety tasks, provided they are determined with international contracts;
- vehicles of the toll road operator for performing maintenance tasks concerning toll roads and toll activities;
- vehicles for performing humanitarian aid tasks* for those affected in peace or war, due to natural and other disasters, or armed conflicts.
*Transports using vehicles for performing humanitarian aid tasks for those affected in peace or war, due to natural and other disasters, or armed conflicts include transports that, on the basis of documents appropriately filled out, are determined as such by the operator of the toll roads. The documents must be in their original form and must refer to the registration plate of the vehicle, for which the toll exemption or external costs exemption applies. The toll road operator must be informed about the arrival of the foreign vehicles at least 24 hours before their actual arrival.
